Your access of our web pages unavoidably transmits certain information about you (or rather about the access mechanism you are using) to our server. Our use of your data
The Racer Systems GmbH & Co. KG assumes responsibility to protect your privacy and your personal information. Your personal data will only be used and handled in accordance with the strict German data privacy laws.

Racer Systems does not sell or otherwise publish personal data to third parties unless the data is needed to process your request. For example it is obvious that a postal service will need your name and address to deliver something to you.
If you contact us using mail, telephone, fax, a web form or e-mail and expect an answer from us then we will need suitable contact information from you. Requests without a valid return address can't be processed by us. Specifically we will need your name, company if applicable and your return address as appropriate (postal address, fax or phone number and/or e-mail address). We prefer e-mail correspondence. In addition by contacting us you allow us or partners acting on our behalf to contact you whenever we feel we have interesting information for you. You may veto this last use of your data at any time effective for the future.
If you have previously given us permission to use your personal data to contact you with news, marketing or promotional information then you may retract that permission at any time. Please note that this may prevent us from sending you useful information, for example about software updates you are entitled to. To retract permission please contact us in writing (e-mail, fax or on paper) and provide your full name, e-mail address and if possible the web page where you entered your data and other identifying data like customer or transaction numbers. We may need to contact you in order to authenticate the request. (If we can't identify you or if a request can not be authenticated then we will ignore it.) We will respond with exactly one confirmation e-mail (if we have your e-mail address) which will be the last you hear from us unless you decide to contact us again.
For customers who have entered any legal contract with us, different rules may apply if so specified in that contract.
Please note that we have to comply with the law whenever we receive a subpoena to release data. In this case we take no responsibility for the use of the released data.

Apart from the implicit date and time and the immediate request (currently: GET /site/privacy.phtml) this is an IP-number (currently: 38.103.63.17) as well as other data. Among others a browser identification, currently: CCBot/1.0 (+http://www.commoncrawl.org/bot.html), information about the supported data types: Accept: application/xhtml+xml,text/html;q=0.9,text/plain;, gzip, preferred languages: en-us,en;q=0.5 and a reference to the URL you came from if applicable.
By itself this data can't be associated directly with any specific person. It may be possible to derive the type of access and make presumptions about the technology involved. The reliabillity of this data is questionable though because numerous factors can influence it, not the least being intentional forgery.
Our servers automatically log this data. We use these logs only for statistical purposes and for technical support and site enhancements.
