Questions and bug reports

As a registered RacerPro user you may send your questions and bug reports to the following mail address:

<No JavaScript: support at racer-systems dot com>

If you want to submit a bug report or a question about a certain behaviour of RacerPro please attach the logfile to your e-mail. Of course the logfile should cover the session in which the error accured.

How to enable logging for a complete bug report

Logging is enabled by starting the executable as follows: RacerPro.exe -- -log "[path-to-logfile]" -debug or under Unix .RacerPro -log "[path-to-logfile]" -debug If you do not provide a filename for the logfile then by default the output is written into "racer.log" next to the RacerPro executable.

Please include this information in your correspondence:

  • Your personal name and the name of your organisation
  • Your contact data including telephone number
  • The RacerPro build number
  • Your transaction ID or the short license string
  • A description of your problem and the environment where it accured

We may need additional information about your setup or some of the data files you process to simulate the reported error condition. You will greatly decrease our response time if you help us by providing such information on request.

Of course we will try to work on your issue as soon as possible. However, due to the probably existing time lag between your location and ours or due to the existing work load our response may take up to two business days. We will acknowledge the receipt of your inquiry and in most cases give you further instructions or an estimate of the processing time.

Support

In case the problem you have reported results from a non-RacerPro inherent error we may offer you an individual and non-free support activity to solve the issue.
