RacerPro 2.0 Preview
The currently available pre-release version of RacerPro offers several new features and various improvements compared with its predecessors (see below): RacerPro 2.0 will have all features of previous released versions (more...) and will offer various improvements and benefits as you can imagine after reading through the comprehensive overview over the RacerPro 2.0 reasoning environment.. Users of any preceding version (including BETA) will notice an increase in performance and an improved use of available resources.
Since the official release of the final version 2.0 still takes some time, we have decided to allow all current and new users access to a preview of the upcoming version. You can freely download the version 2.0 as compressed archives for the Windows, Mac OS X, and for the Linux platform — all 32 bit and x86 processors only. The RacerPro preview software comes with an included time-limited trial license which allows full operation without registering your copy.
You can install the preview on your system manually in a directory of your choice. Please keep the files from the archive together: That ensures that RacerPorter can start RacerPro for your convenience. Even side-by-side setups with previous versions of RacerPro are possible, but RacerPorter 2.0 is compatible with RacerPro 2.0 only. Please keep in mind that the manual installation process with an omitted installer does not modify your registry or create shortcuts automatically. Please setup your environment according to your use case on your own.
Support: Since this preview software is not a final release we can not provide end user assistance. However, we are very interested in your feedback and your comments will be highly appreciated! Terms and Conditions: RacerPro 2.0 is provided AS IS without any warranty. Use it on your own risk. Even though we put tremendous effort in providing a well-crafted software that meets the high quality expectations of our customers, we can not guarantee the absense of flaws or errors (bugs). The preview software has a built-in license that activates all features for use until August 31, 2010. If you purchase a permanent license for RacerPro 2.0 you can activate the software indefinitely. Existing personal license files for previous versions of RacerPro are simply ignored, so that after the expiery date the preview software stops working: Then you will have to retrieve a new copy of the software and (most probably) a personal license file as well. However, existing permanent licenses will activate the previous releases of RacerPro, i.e. 1.9.x, even in the future.
Users of an educational license can use the preview version too. Since we may update our line of products as well as our license scheme for the final release of version 2.0, the conditions for may change in the future.

BETA program
RacerPro 1.9.2 BETA is available to all registered users of RacerPro.
As you might know, you have to register for a free trial, educational or for commercial licenses in order to get access to the Racer software. RacerPro has to be activated with a license file that has to be valid for the operating system platform you are using. (Trial and educational licenses are time-limited, i.e. non-permanent.)
All current licenses for RacerPro 1.9 will activate the BETA software as well.
Once your have registered successfully at our web site, your personal download page will be available for access as long as your license is valid. Just browse to the page referenced by the unique "transaction ID" as instructed in the information email you've received from our license server. Fetch the installer for the BETA software, supporting files and material.
For Windows and Mac OS X systems we've provided installers that allow side-by-side installations of the BETA software next to any previous versions (1.9.0). However, certain shortcuts (aliases, links) may point to the newest version on your system after installation, though. You may use RacerPro BETA as long as your license is valid.
Please consult the ReadMe and Release Notes documents that accompany the software and which are available for individual download on your personal download page too. The latest versions are also published here. They discuss in detail how RacerPro can be installed and how it is activated.
Information for users of versions older than RacerPro 1.9
We would appreciate all existing users of Racer (ancient versions 1.7.x) and of RacerPro 1.8.x switching to the current version. We have put tremendous effort in increasing the performance of the software and have improved the capabilities of the reasoning engine to process larger and more complex knowledge bases. We suggest that you apply for a trial license and see the advantages of the new version for yourself.
If you purchased a Desktop license which does not include software maintenance and hence does not qualify for an update please contact us or our sales partner and ask for an update special we might offer.
