Download and Install RacerPro!

You have entered the download area of our website where you can apply for a trial version of RacerPro or download additional software and material.

If you are already a registered customer and have your transaction ID or license string handy, you may access your personal download page here. (In step 2 after submitting the request form you will have received a direct link to your individual download page by e-mail from us. The use of this URL is much more convenient.)

All new and existing licenses are eligible for all versions 1.9.x. Your personal download page will offer the 1.9.2 BETA software as well as the release version 1.9, which we have released quite a while ago. Thus you are encouraged to download and install the public preview software instead as advertised below. If you are interested in the recent changes please consult the Release Notes.

Preview of RacerPro 2.0

If you want to check out the most current version of RacerPro we invite you to use the pre-release version 2.0. It includes all the features of previous versions together with new additions, various improvements also with respect to ressource handling and is compatible with a wide variety of knowledge bases. The preview comes free of charge and is available freely without registering with us. You can choose from 32 bit versions for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux on x86 processors — your copy will work without limitations until April 30, 2010. By then we will have published the final version 2.0 together with an updated license scheme.

Request an individual license

While we offer the preview of the upcoming release we want to encourage you to use RacerPro 2.0 as offered above. The preview comes with a general, full-featured license which will be valid until April 30, 2010.

We offer three distinctive RacerPro license types, each in a number of platform specific formats: an timelimited educational license, a commercial trial license and commercial licenses in a number of variants.

Timelimited trial (try-out) license for all environments:

You may request a limited trial version of RacerPro Desktop which should enable you to evaluate the usefulnes of RacerPro for your purposes. You may then proceed to purchase one of the commercial licenses to get the unlimited functionality needed for your project. Please refer to our license scheme page for details on the available licenses.

RacerPlus and RacerMaster are not offered as trial versions.

Higher education and research at universities:

If you intend to use RacerPro for fundamental research and higher education at a university or another degree-granting, non-profit institution, you may download and use a fully functional but timelimited version of RacerPro Desktop for this purpose provided we can verify the non-commercial use. This license is currently granted free of charge and will expire by the end of October 2010.

The "free license" is intended to help to investigate the product and to bridge the time the budgeting process takes. For students we may renew the license grant for an additional period if RacerPro is used for their thesis; if this applies to you please negotiate with us in advance and provide proof by your tutor.

User manual and documentation:

The substantial documentation of the product RacerPro provides an overview of the services and the installation as well as the operation of RacerPro in general in the User Guide. An additional and not less comprehensive Reference Manual lists and describes all functions you will use from RacerPorter or from your self-programmed client application.

Both manuals are included in the installer packages but are made available for download even before you decide to register yourself as a user. They are available here as Adobe Acrobat PDF files and can also be easily referenced from your own publications.

APIs to RacerPro"kernel" application:

As a registered user of RacerPro you might be interested in the APIs to access RacerPro natively via TCP/IP from your own application. While LRacer is for the Lisp developers, JRacer is the Java programmer's choice. We also offer a Java based DIG client. All APIs come with complete source code.

Please note: Racer Systems will not support you in developing your application. Moreover the APIs are provided AS IS without any warranty. Although mentionend in the manuals the APIs are not part of the product itself.

Benchmark tool:

Racer Systems offers you a tool for automated and more convenient testing of RacerPro. "Benchee", which is the name of the tool, is not a commercial product of our company and is unsupported. You may use it at your own risk with no warranty of any kind.
